Sword of Hephaestion
History of Hephaestion
Price: $215 w/out Leather Sheath                     $254 with Leather Sheath
The City of Babylon was the Home for Alexander and Hephaestion. "Hephaistion" was a Macedonian Nobleman, and a General in the Army of Alexander the Great. He had been brought up with Alexander and shared all his secrets. He was by far the dearest of all the king's friends. Sharing Alexander's upbringing, Hephaestion would have learned to Fight and to Ride Well from an early age. With such a promising start, Hephaestion was molded into the man who would one day be the 2nd Most Powerful Man in Alexander's Empire. This friendship lasted their whole lives, and was compared, by others as well as themselves, to that of Achilles and Patroclus. A member of Alexander the Great's personal bodyguard, commanded the Companion cavalry. Hephaestion was honored as a Divine Hero.
